Andie DeRoux explores the outer and inner landscapes of the Pacific Northwest; Aquatic, Lithosphere, Atmosphere, and Woodland environments as both places we move through and states we carry inside us. Her studio practice is rooted in mindfulness and deep immersion: a way of listening to seasonal shifts, natural energy, and the quiet information our bodies hold. DeRoux paints intuitively, letting the subconscious lead the hand, allowing each work to build on the last in small sets and an ever-evolving series.

This exhibition introduces a new body of work created on Lumicore, a high-end acrylic surface chosen for its optical clarity and the way it carries light. In
Where the Light Holds, those qualities become part of the meaning: inner and outer landscapes held together, and a practice of returning to yourself again and again.
